Compatibility of Immax NEO Lights with the Philips Hue System

Created9/9/2021

Philips Hue is the most widely used smart lighting system on the market. Its extensive lineup includes both stylish and highly practical models that can be placed anywhere. They communicate via a smart gateway, which makes it possible to connect Immax NEO products.

Immax NEO products pride themselves on their compatibility. Thanks to this, they work seamlessly with voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri Shortcuts, and Google Assistant. Immax NEO lights use ZigBee technology for communication, which allows them to connect with IKEA, Samsung SmartThings, and Philips Hue products (in this case, via Zigbee Light Link).

Immax NEO and Philips Hue

Philips Hue lights use Zigbee Light Link technology; they communicate with each other and with you via the Hue Bridge, and you control them using an app on your smartphone. This is the same principle as with Immax NEO lights, which can also be connected to the Hue app—and vice versa. All Philips Hue lights, bulbs, and LED strips can be controlled via the Immax NEO PRO app

With the Immax NEO PRO app for your smart home

In summary: Since Philips Hue smart lighting uses Zigbee Light Link technology—and in some cases, Zigbee 3.0—for communication, it can be interconnected with Immax NEO products. However, this applies only to the aforementioned light fixtures, bulbs, and LED strips. Other devices in the product line are not compatible.

The Immax NEO PRO app solves this problem. It runs on the TUYA platform, offering unlimited compatibility with products that also use it. And in this case, it doesn’t matter whether they communicate via a Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth, or Zigbee technology. This allows you to create a comprehensive smart home. At the same time, you can still connect Philips Hue smart lighting to the app via the Immax NEO BRIDGE PRO smart gateway.
