Information on Packaging and Packaging Waste (PPWR)
Regulation (EU) 2025/40 of the European Parliament and of the Council on packaging and packaging waste (PPWR) sets out new requirements for manufacturers, importers and other economic operators. On this page, you will find basic information on how our company approaches compliance with these obligations.
General information
In connection with Regulation (EU) 2025/40 of the European Parliament and of the Council on packaging and packaging waste (hereinafter referred to as the ‘PPWR’), we would like to provide you with the following general information regarding the fulfilment of the requirements of this Regulation by IMMAX WPB CZ, s.r.o. (hereinafter referred to as ‘IMMAX’).
IMMAX’s status
We hereby confirm that IMMAX complies with and is continuously implementing the obligations arising from the PPWR that apply to it. Depending on the specific item and its packaging, IMMAX may act as a manufacturer, importer or distributor. In the relevant capacity, we ensure compliance with the applicable requirements for placing or supplying packaging on the market, conformity assessment, the preparation or availability of technical documentation and the EU Declaration of Conformity, as well as other obligations laid down by the PPWR.
Documentation from manufacturers and suppliers
For the packaging of the goods we supply, we rely on up-to-date information and documentation from manufacturers and suppliers. We continuously collect, record and evaluate these confirmations, declarations, technical documents and other relevant information in relation to the items and packaging designs concerned.
Provision of documentation
At the same time, we would like to point out that the PPWR does not impose a general obligation to automatically provide technical documentation or EU declarations of conformity to all customers or other links in the supply chain with every delivery. Upon receipt of a specific request from a customer, which is justified on legal or factual grounds, IMMAX will provide or make available the relevant EU Declaration of Conformity or, where applicable, other relevant documentation relating to a specifically identified item or packaging family, to the extent necessary for the purpose of the request and whilst respecting the protection of confidential information.
Cooperation with supervisory authorities
In the event of a request from the relevant supervisory authority, we are prepared to provide the necessary cooperation and the information and documentation at our disposal, to the extent required by applicable legislation. Similarly, we are prepared to cooperate with our business partners in addressing specific regulatory requirements or inspections by the relevant authorities.
Compliance with PPWR requirements
Based on the information and documentation currently on file, we hereby assure you that, with regard to the packaging of the goods we supply, we ensure compliance with the PPWR requirements applicable to the packaging in question, the time of its placing on the market and our relevant role. We continuously fulfil IMMAX’s obligations relating to conformity assessment, the maintenance or availability of relevant documentation and other requirements of the Regulation.
Take-back and environmentally sound disposal of packaging
IMMAX WPB CZ, s.r.o. is fully aware of its impact on the environment and therefore places great emphasis on the sustainability and environmental friendliness of all packaging used.
In accordance with applicable legislation and the Packaging Act, we fulfil our obligations regarding the take-back and recovery of packaging waste. Our company is duly registered with the EKO-KOM collective compliance scheme, thereby ensuring that the packaging of the products we supply is properly managed and recycled once it has reached the end of its useful life.
• How to dispose of packaging: All our product packaging is designed to be easily sorted and recycled. We ask our customers to place the packaging (paper, plastic, cardboard, etc.) in the appropriate coloured recycling bins after unpacking the product, in accordance with the instructions provided on the packaging.
