How to Reset the Immax NEO Lights

We often receive questions about pairing your remote control with your light fixture. The process is very simple, but in some cases, minor issues may arise. Resetting the Immax NEO light will reliably resolve these issues. How do you do it?　

The new Immax NEO Smart controller uses modern ZigBee 3.0 technology and can be connected to the Immax NEO BRIDGE PRO smart gateway. This allows you to integrate everything into a single, controllable system. This allows you to control the lights using an app on your smartphone as well as the remote control.　

How can you troubleshoot issues and properly pair Immax NEO lights?

1. The Immax NEO light does not respond to the remote control　

There could be several reasons for this. Check the remote control to make sure the batteries are working properly, or avoid standing too far away. Try moving closer to the light fixture. If the problems persist, you'll need to start over.　

If you enter too many commands, the smart base software may freeze. Unplug the light fixture, plug it back in, and reset it according to the instructions.　

2. The Immax NEO light does not turn on when plugged in

Before you begin pairing the remote control, make sure the light fixture is properly connected to the electrical outlet and that the wall switch is in the ON position. Also, do not connect the Immax NEO light to any existing dimmers in your home.

3. How do I reset the Immax NEO Smart remote control?　

Reset the 07007L Controller

Press the W button on the controller for more than 3 seconds.　

Then press the On/Off button.

The controller should be reset to factory settings.

Reset the 07087L controller

On the back of the remote control, insert the reset pin into the reset hole and hold down the button for at least 3 seconds.

The LED on the remote control will start flashing. Let it flash for a few seconds, then press any button on the remote control.

Press and hold the ON and OFF buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds.

The LED on the remote control will then flash for a long time (about 90 seconds). Once the LED stops flashing, the remote control has been reset.

4. How do I reset the Immax NEO light using the 07007L remote control?

Move the remote control closer to the light source until it is 30 cm away. Then press the following buttons in sequence: 1; +; 2; -; 3; N. The light will reset to its factory settings and begin to flash.

Another option is to turn the light on and off 5 times using the wall switch. Wait 1–2 seconds between each on/off cycle. After the fifth cycle, wait about 10 seconds; the LED light should start flashing.　

5. How do I turn off the Immax NEO light using a wall switch?　

Use the wall switch to turn the light on and off 5 times. The interval between turning it on and off should be 1–2 seconds. The interval after turning it off should always be longer. After turning it on for the fifth time, wait a moment. The LED light should start blinking. Once the light stops blinking, it is ready for pairing.

If you have a light from batch AO(Z0014) or later, after the light finishes flashing, turn it off and then back on. The light is then ready for pairing.

6. Final Pairing

Pairing the light with the 07007L controller

If both the light and the remote are ready for pairing, press and hold the group number (1–3) on the remote to which you want to pair the light. The LED on the remote will start flashing. You can now release the button. Wait until the LED on the remote stops flashing.

The LED light should also flash after successful pairing.

Pairing the light with the 07087L controller

If both the light and the remote are ready to pair, press and hold the top two buttons on the remote. The LED on the remote will start flashing.

Now you can release the button and wait until the LED on the remote control stops flashing. The LED will flash once, and then it will remain lit on the remote control.

Once the LED on the remote control turns off, the light is paired with the remote control.

Pairing the light with the 07087-2 controller

If both the light and the remote are ready to pair, press and hold the ON button on the remote. The LED on the remote will start flashing.

When pairing, place the remote control directly on the controller (the black heat-shrink tubing between the power source and the LED strip in the light), or hold the remote control as close to the light as possible (in this case, use only two fingers to minimize any obstruction of the signal).

Once the LED on the remote control turns off, the light is paired with the remote control.
