App Immax NEO PRO now supports direct integration with the open-source platform Home Assistant . We are thus becoming a pioneer on the Czech market by implementing this integration through our own branded app.
Previously fragmented smart home systems are consolidating into centralized platforms, and among them, the open-source Home Assistant continues to hold a dominant position. It offers advanced automation and connects devices from various manufacturers under a single interface. For users of Immax products, we are introducing a major new feature: the Immax NEO PRO now supports direct integration with the Home Assistant platform.
We are thus becoming a pioneer on the Czech market by implementing this integration through our own branded app – without the need to switch to a universal third-party solution .
The End of the Era of Branded App Limitations
The Immax NEO PRO app is built on the global platform Tuya , which provides a robust cloud foundation for thousands of smart devices worldwide. However, integration with Home Assistant had previously faced a technological barrier. Official Tuya integration has historically been limited to generic client apps Tuya Smart and Smart Life .
As a result, users previously had to migrate their devices to the Smart Life app if they wanted to take advantage of Home Assistant. In doing so, they lost the localized Czech interface , specific features, and official Immax customer support .
The new update removes this barrier. Home Assistant now fully recognizes the Immax NEO PRO app’s authentication scheme, and your devices can remain in the ecosystem you’re used to.
The connection works via Cloud–Cloud
The integration is implemented exclusively based on the Cloud–Cloud . End devices communicate directly with the Home Assistant cloud interface via the encrypted Immax/Tuya cloud. This approach requires no special technical knowledge or additional hardware on the Home Assistant server side.
Important notice: You will only receive our full support if your devices are registered in the Immax NEO PRO app and connected to Home Assistant via the new Cloud–Cloud integration. If you have paired your devices directly with a local Zigbee coordinator in Home Assistant, bypassing our gateway, you are doing so at your own risk. In this case, we unfortunately cannot guarantee functionality.
